Jakarta - Copywriting has recently become a topic that is widely discussed in webinars, especially related to digital marketing. So what is copywriting? Copywriting is a writing skill that aims to make readers respond according to the writer's wishes. Simply put, copywriting is needed to produce the following scheme:
Readers viewing content - Pause to read - Reminded - Register or purchase the product offered.
Copywriting has a fairly broad scope. Text on landing pages, blog articles, email newsletters, social media posts, headlines and meta descriptions on Google search results, paid advertisements on Google and social media, YouTube video titles and descriptions are all included in copywriting. Before making copywriting, there are a number of things that need to be considered, including suitability to the context, being conveyed clearly and attractively.
After determining the core message and platform to use, we can start writing a copy. The first step you can take is to study the product or service that will be discussed in the copy. Then determine a compelling headline. This can be done in 3 ways, be bold, make it sensational and address a certain person or group (specific target). An attractive head should also be supported by attractive leads. Then end the copy with a persuasive sentence.
The AIDA (Attention, Interest of the customer, Desire and Action) theory stages can also be used to create a copywriter. Attention can be done by creating brand awareness or affiliations with your product or service. Interest can be done by generating interest in the benefits of your product or service and sufficient interest to encourage the buyer to start to research further. To create a desire for your product or service through an 'emotional connection', showing your brand personality. Move the consumer from 'liking it' to 'wanting it'. Finally, move the buyer interacting with your company and taking the next step as downloading a brochure, making the phone call, joining your newsletter, or engaging in live chat, etc.
After knowing the definitions and the ways or stages of making copywriting, then how to make good copywriting? The following are tips and tricks that can be done to boost your copywriting:
Determine tone of voice for the brand
Write short, concise and clear
Get used to writing with the right sentence structure
After writing, read 3x thoroughly to ensure neatness and key messages are conveyed properly
